There was a moment of silence, and Susan knew that Lucian was ready leave. There was nothing else to say, and Lucian closed the transmission channel after they said good-bye to each other.

Determined to get rid of the Strangers, Susan had to start a long, long task ahead and start to plan the eventual war against them. It was a war they’d lose if she couldn’t think of a new way to destroy the Strangers. The Hwzeenn had surprised them, and she felt confident that she would also surprise the enemy when the time came.
Susan would need all the help she could get, and she decided that her first task was to go the Rg’Tkeen home world and see how they receive the surviving Hwzeenn.
