More problem solutions
I’ve solved the above problems using Xtend. Solutions are relatively easy but my code is far from optimized. For example, my solution for Problem 50 took about 950 seconds and others solve it less than a millisecond 🙂
Are you interested in solving problems? Then head to Project Euler and start your problem solving journey. There are hundreds of “challenging mathematical/computer programming problems that will require more than just mathematical insights to solve”.
I just started my own problem solving journey and the status of my current progress is shown on the right. At the time of writing I’ve solved following problems:
I’ve used Xtend to solve the above problems but Project Euler problems can be, of course, solved using any programming language imaginable.
Xtend documentation, by the way, mentions Project Euler and that was the first place I’ve even heard of the site although it’s been available since 2001. The first problem was published 5th October 2001 and new problems are published regularly.
