My new scifi novel is now available at Smashwords. The novel tells a story of the Kaitian War, from the beginning to the end.
For a thousand years, Commander William Johnson has guided the humans toward joining the Coalition, an alliance of advanced civilizations in the galaxy. Soon after they finally do, the Kaitians- the servant species of the long-extinct Hwzeenn- launch an all-out assault against other species in the galaxy with only one goal: extermination.
It’s either them or us. And I’d rather it’d be them, even it means a seat in hell for us.
Commander William Johnson

Long ago, I started socialmedia ebook marketing experiment and now it is done. Finished. The end.
For over two years I posted paragraphs from my scifi novelette End of an Era (available in Stories from the Strangers’ Universe) and now the full story is available and you can read it from the beginning to the end, right here in this blog.

And we will have peace in our galaxy once more…
The story of the The Kaitian War is finished and the next step is to edit it. As before, I’ll do self-editing first and then, before I can publish it, I hire a professional editor to work with the final edits.
In addition to editing, there’s also the matter of cover and for that too I’ll need to hire a professional to work with me. Like in my previous novel Truths, Half-Truths and Lies, the cover will be a scene from the story and as soon as I’ve decided what scene I’d like for the cover, I’ll start working with it.
The story is a full-length novel, currently over 80,000 words. Here’s a short (and unedited) quote from the beginning of the story:
“You weren’t at the funeral?”, asked Milton a little surprised. He’d assumed that William had attended the funeral.
“I had to check everything.”, answered William, “But I didn’t find anything that could explain this.”
“You don’t really think she died, do you?”, asked Milton.
“Not for a second.”, said William, “Come on.”
The Strangers’ Universe series (http://tinyurl.com/ormatv9) is made possible by Smashwords’ new feature called Series Manager (more here) that allows authors to create a series for the books. Purpose of the series is to improve discoverability of indie books.
My next story, The Kaitian War, will be part of the Strangers’ Universe and it’ll be the book number three, right after the Truths, Half-Truths and Lies.
William and Bruce exchanged looks; apparently they should know about this ‘Watson,’ but they hadn’t heard about it.
James noticed their looks and was surprised. “You haven’t heard of Watson?
Yep, IBM Watson has a small but important part in my scifi novel Truths, Half-Truths and Lies (check it out, it’s free by they way).
Check out also IBM Watson’s new job: IBM Watson Engagement Advisor.
Truths, Half-Truths and Lies is now free and Stories from the Strangers’ Universe is 0.99USD.
The price change is immediate at Smashwords and retailers will get new prices soon.
Here is a word cloud of the current status of my next scifi novel, The Kaitian War.
William, Milton and Rachel are familiar characters from Truths, Half-Truths and Lies. Nick and Louis made appearances in Dawn to Dawn. Sandra, Ellen, Aileen, Karl, Eric and others characters are new acquaintances (and Aileen is not a woman, by the way, it’s an artificial intelligence).
