What? No words?

My scifi novel, The Kaitian War, did not progress at all because I didn’t write a single word  last week. I was traveling and had other priorities that took my  time that I’d normally use for writing.

I thought to allocate a certain  time of each day for writing, and guess what happened? It didn’t work. And maybe it’s better that it didn’t. I mean, why would I give myself schedules and time tables for my own time? I do have other hobbies, events (like family) occur from time to time, and, generally speaking, anything can happen and plans change all the time.

When I write, then that’s the most important there is for that particular time. If I do something else, then that something else is the most important thing for that particular time.
